The conclusion sections in applied linguistics international journal articles written by Indonesian authors

چکیده

This research attempts to describe the rhetorical structures of Indonesian author's in conclusion section applied linguistics international journals articles. The method employed this study is descriptive quantitative. Thirty RA sections were extracted from two journals; Journal Applied Linguistics (IJAL) and TEFLIN journal, examined based on move following Yang & Allison's proposed model (2003). result revealed that, first, majority Conclusion (22 [73%] out 30 sections) contain all elements outlined by Allison (2003), namely: obligatory; 1 (summarizing study), conventional moves; 2 (Evaluating study) 3 (deduction research); second, concerning steps features, most authors tend use step realizing (evaluating implies that those justify their indicating evaluating rather than stating limitation or methodology section.
